Student Programs

KMEA offers several student programs which serve to enhance the educational experience of music students throughout the state of Kansas.

District Festival Groups
Each of the six districts hold auditions to select participants for the District Festival Groups.

All-State Groups
The "best of the best" from those who participated in their District Festival Group are selected to participate in the KMEA All-State Groups.

Composition Competition
Students of KMEA members may submit original works for rated adjudication. Exceptional entries may be invited for performance at the KMEA In-Service Workshop.

All-State Groups Scholarships
A $500 scholarship is awarded to one student from each of the KMEA All-State Groups. To learn more, visit the Scholarship page in the Awards section.

CMENC
CMENC stands for Collegiate Music Educators National Conference. Learn more about CMENC in the Membership section.

Tri-M Music Honor Society
The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for secondary school students. Learn more about Tri-M in the Membership section.
