This handbook was developed specifically for the new music teacher in Kansas, although its use goes far beyond geography and experience and may be helpful to all music educators. KMEA would like to thank TMEA (the Texas Music Educators Association) for permission to use a format similar to their New Music Teacher Handbook (online at www.tmea.org). This handbook will be updated as needed and we hope that it will be of help to you as you progress through the school year.
