2012 In-Service Workshop Registration
Save $10 by pre-registering for the In-Service Workshop and have your convention badge mailed to you ahead of time. Postmark deadline for early pre-registration is February 11, 2012. Those needing assistance with ISW registration or NAfME membership renewal may stop to visit with us in the connecting lobby at Century II during the conference. KMEA does not accept credit cards at the workshop.

New Teacher Luncheon
This free luncheon is intended for music teachers who are new to the profession this year. Deadline to register is Feb. 17, 2012.

2012 ISW Schedule
What's happening at ISW 2012? Customize your own ISW schedule using our online ISW schedule maker. As in the past, you can display selected strands. New in 2012, you may display a selected room/venue for all three days on one screen.

Performance Group Info for Parents
Parents... Congratulations to you, your child, and your school's group for their selection to perform at the In-Service Workshop. KMEA acknowledges the hours of preparation and hard work undertaken by the director and students for this performance. It is an honor to be selected for performance at the KMEA In-Service Workshop. Parents are welcome to attend their school group's performance at no charge. However, we do ask that you obtain a Guest Pass for each member of your party. Guest Passes are available at the KMEA Registration Table in the Century II Connecting Lobby, which is located immediately south of, and adjacent to, the circular part of the Century II Convention Center. The Guest Pass will grant you access to not only your child's performance, but it will also allow you to visit other areas of the conference, including the commercial exhibits. The Exhibition Hall is located on the north side of Century II. The Guest Pass, however, is not recognized for the All-State performances. Again, welcome to the Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop. If you have any questions, feel free to ask any member of the KMEA staff. They can be identified by a red "Board" ribbon attached to their name badge, and they will be more than happy to assist you.

ISW College Credit
One hour of college credit is available for attending ISW. Deadline for sending in the Credit Application Form to participating schools is February 21, 2012. Deadline for sending in the Credit Verification Form is April 1, 2012.

Thank you, Don & JoAnn Corbett
KMEA extends a "Thank You" to Don and JoAnn Corbett for their many years of service to the organization, including Don's final "hat" as Exhibits Manager. Although Don carried the titles, it's no secret that JoAnn kept Don on course. Together, they were KMEA. During Don's 40+ years of service, he served KMEA & then-MENC in many ways. Among the hats he wore and honors received are the following:

• 1971-1973 — KMEA State President
• 1986-1988 — MENC National President
• 1997 — Inducted into the KMEA Hall of Fame
• 1992-2002 — KMEA Executive Director
• 2003 - 2011 — KMEA ISW Exhibits Manager

KMEA will forever be indebted to Don & JoAnn Corbett for their endless efforts serving the members of the Kansas Music Educators Association. "Thank you" isn't enough, but it's a start.
