Each year, KMEA hosts an In-Service Workshop at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita. At this important annual event, speakers, performers, and vendors gather together to represent the best of music education throughout the state.

ISW Registration
Save $10 by pre-registering for the In-Service Workshop and have your convention badge mailed to you ahead of time. Postmark deadline for early pre-registration is February 14, 2015, for active teachers. Those needing assistance with ISW registration or NAfME membership renewal may stop to visit with us in the connecting lobby at Century II during the conference.

ISW Schedule
The ISW scheduling meeting takes place in October, however the full ISW schedule is usually not released until late January in order to give the KMEA board time to finalize each event. When the schedule is complete, it will be linked here.

New Teacher Luncheon
This free luncheon at ISW is intended for music teachers who are new to the profession this year. Deadline to register is Feb. 14, 2015.
ISW College Credit
One hour of college credit will be offered for attending ISW. Application form is not yet posted.
Congratulations to the groups selected to perform at the 2015 KMEA In-Service Workshop.

Performance Group Info for Parents
Parents... Congratulations to you, your child, and your school's group for their selection to perform at the In-Service Workshop. KMEA acknowledges the hours of preparation and hard work undertaken by the director and students for this performance. It is an honor to be selected for performance at the KMEA In-Service Workshop. Parents are welcome to attend their school group's performance at no charge. However, we do ask that you obtain a Guest Pass for each member of your party. Guest Passes are available at the KMEA Registration Table in the Century II Connecting Lobby, which is located immediately south of, and adjacent to, the circular part of the Century II Convention Center. The Guest Pass will grant you access to not only your child's performance, but it will also allow you to visit other areas of the conference, including the commercial exhibits. The Exhibition Hall is located on the north side of Century II. The Guest Pass, however, is not recognized for the All-State performances. Again, welcome to the Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop. If you have any questions, feel free to ask any member of the KMEA staff. They can be identified by a red "Board" ribbon attached to their name badge, and they will be more than happy to assist you.

All-State Groups
KMEA All-State Groups give their performances as part of the In-Service Workshop.

Exhibitors are invited to reserve their booth space for the 2015 In-Service Workshop. Available payment options include check or credit card. Secure your spot early by paying online via PayPal. We encourage everyone to support the exhibitors at the In-Service Workshop. Without their participation, the ISW simply would not exist.

Take a moment to preview the clinics which will be presented at the upcoming In-Service Workshop.

To Me, Music Is...
...I have an emotional connection to the performer or an audience. Music gets me through the highs & lows in life because no matter where you're from, you experience many of the same emotions as others.
