ISW Exhibitor Rules & Regulations

Saturday: 8:00 - 12:00
COST: $275 for first booth ($300 after December 1), $150 for each additional
SIZE: Exhibits limited to 180 booths.
KMEA: 15th largest MENC state membership,
GENERAL: Attended by 1200 members, 3000 students in more than 40 performing groups, 530 in State-Wide Honor Groups (Band, Orchestra, Choir, Jazz), plus parents, sponsors, guests, spouses, etc. for a total attendance of approximately 6000.

Dates & Hours

Exhibit Booths
Booths will be eight feet by ten feet with backgrounds eight feet high. Side dividers will be 36 inches high. All drapery is flameproof. Cost of each booth including a six-foot draped table, one chair, and a sign will be $275 for the first booth and $150 for each additional booth. Cost after December 1, , will be $300 for a single booth and $150 for each additional. After February 1, , there will be no refunds for cancelled space.

Installation & Dismantling
Installation begins Thursday, , no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and must be completed by 4:00 p.m. the same day. The exhibitor agrees not to begin to dismantle the exhibit earlier than 12:00 noon Saturday, . Any exhibitor dismantling prior to this time will not be invited to participate in the Workshop.

Liability & Insurance
The Kansas Music Educators Association, Century II, or any officers or staff members will not be responsible for the safety of any property of the exhibitor from theft, damage by fire, accident, or any other cause, but all care will be taken to protect exhibitors from such loss. Licensed security people will be on duty during periods when the exhibits are closed. No responsibility is assumed for goods delivered to the exhibit area before the installation period or of unpacked material left in the exhibition area after the closing hour of the exhibit.

Fire Protection
Table decorations must be flameproof. Electrical wiring must conform with National Electrical Code Safety Rules. Exits and fire extinguisher equipment must not be obstructed. Exhibitors must comply with all city fire regulations.

Solicitation
No firm or organization not assigned exhibit space will be permitted to solicit business within the exhibit area.

Care of Building and Equipment
Nothing shall be posted on, tacked, nailed or attached to wall, floors, column, or other parts of the building or furniture.

Regulations and Contract
These regulations become a part of the contract between the exhibitor and the Kansas Music Educators Association. They are for the best interests of the exhibitors. The management asks the full cooperation of the exhibitors in the observance. All points not covered are subject to the discretion of the management.

Exhibit Hall Passageways
Exhibitors will not be allowed to place parts of their exhibit into the passageways and obstruct movement of workshop participants or block access to adjoining exhibits. Please purchase enough exhibit space that you can adequately accommodate all of your products within the confines of your exhibit area.

Century II Electrical Charge
If you will need electricity in your booth Century II will charge you for the use of it. Their electricity form will be sent to you by KMEA upon receipt of your contract and check. Century II will bill you direct for electricity requested.....do not send a check to KMEA for this.

Storage of Exhibit Materials
Exhibitors who need to ship in materials prior to the Workshop and have them delivered to the Exhibition Hall will be served by the Henry Helgerson Company. Information concerning this storing procedure will be sent upon receipt of contract and check.
