Arts Day at the Capitol

LET’S FILL THE CAPITOL WITH THE ARTS!!

You are cordially invited to attend the 8th annual

ARTS DAY AT THE CAPITOL

Friday March 7, 2008, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

2nd floor rotunda in the State Capitol, Topeka.

7:00-9:00 AM, Continental Breakfast for legislators, their staffs and arts advocates

9:00-12:00 Noon, Annual board meeting of the Kansas Citizens for the Arts, including:

  • Welcome to Kansas Citizens for the Arts. Distribution of packets and visits to your legislator’s offices with pre-prepared packets of information about the work of the Kansas Arts Commission and Arts Education in Kansas schools.
  • Governor Sebelius, Senators, and Representatives address the gathering.
  • Election of KCA officers and other business.

12:00-1:00 PM

  • Concert Hour
  • Enjoy visual art work displays from Kansas Students around the capitol building.
